When people are ill, people tend to get confused on why they opt for conventional medicine (like a bypass surgery over alternative medicine. There are many reasons but one person when asked, replied why use alternative medicine when the conventional medicine is readily available! This is the state of affairs of alternative medicine over conventional medicine.
Rather than depending on the medical doctors, many people choose to follow alternative medicine program which they know are cost-effective and safe.
Doctors are not trust worthy. This is the belief most of the people have about the medical doctors. You ask why? The reason given by them is simple, they say that the drug companies provide awful lot of payoffs to the doctors to sell their prescribed drug and push it even with a good health plan. This is one of the reasons why nowadays everyone is hooked on to at least a single drug. This wrong notion has set off many triggers among people to act against the wishes of the medical doctors.
Eminent doctors are given heed to. Also, when asked whether the drugs were particularly harmful, he replied if the wrong method is implied, the drugs are fatal.
Drug companies are not trustworthy according to people. Mostly believe that these pharmaceutical companies are in the game for the profits alone. Some people also point out instances where the companies have advised usage of their drugs to avoid any possible problems! A myth doing the rounds says that heart attacks can be prevented with an intake of an aspirin every single day. So the doctors say and many companies too are reaping the benefits of this saying.
People are still concerned on drug testing. In the 70s, a drug approval took about twenty years! Nowadays, all the necessary tests are completed in a year or so and if no ills are observer then it is released into the market. A few of the drugs have been removed after its usage resulted in fatalities.
Why trust alternatives? When this question was asked to the then doctor he replied positively saying it is very safe and diarrhea is the only problem faced when the alternative medicines had any problem in their treatment.
Are alternatives in working condition? Conventional medicine is quite young, about fifty years old. Mostly all of the alternative or natural medicines are said to have been discovered thousands and thousands of years ago!
One such doctor is believed to be using both alternative as well as conventional medicine programs as there are no issues with the safety and it is very effective. Following this method increases the usage among people who thought alternative medicine is of no use as conventional medicine has come into play. Therefore one can conclude saying that alternative medicines are here to stay and are on par with modern medicine to say the least.
